A few years ago we stopped at Blennerhasset Island during a trip. (It was a educational visit. The island is where Aaron Burr & others hatched a plot to start a new country.) About 100 years ago the Ohio River was in the throes of a huge flood and the entire island was under water. Except for the central part where Blennerhassett built his mansion. Location is everything, even in the middle of the Ohio River.
