I’m not talking about the ones who didn’t have the ability to leave. I’m talking about the ones who clearly didn’t have the brains god gave a turtle. The ones who were interviewed on television and said, “Yeah, I heard that the National Weather Service said it was suicidal to stay in Galveston, but I figured I knew better’n that.” You figured wrong. Here’s your bill. Or “I was afraid that if I left someone would loot my home.” Oh, you mean the home that is now out in Galveston Bay? You figured wrong. Here’s your bill.
