(no subject)
...been a while...I am SOOO ready for the upcoming Arizona trip. Cal & I are just about wrapped on our largest project to date and we'll be delving into the next one probably as soon as we return from vacation. Meanwhile, Jamie and I are both a might on the ragged side lately because it's been some time since our last 'escape'.
My Mom, who beat breast cancer four years ago, recently discovered that it's metastasized into a number of her bones and her liver....there was some serious concern while the extent of the cancer was being ascertained, but, if someone has cancer, the news we got is as good as you can hope for. Her cancer doctor believes that it'll all be quite treatable with pills and possibly some mild radiation. Her regular doctor had her hanging by a thread for what her cancer doctor demonstrated by telling her that her liver was about the size of a loaf of bread...then made two pen dots on a sheet of paper and said "...that's what's on your liver..." How do YOU spell relief????
