I've finally heard it all....it's official
listening to the radio on my way to the job site today, I heard that one of the top aids to the reigning New York State Governor (David Patterson) is being charged with tax evasion for not filing from 2001-2005 and owing HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of dollars. I'm thinking that tax evasion when you work in the public eye is a) stupid b) ignorant , and c) generally bad enough....until they quoted his attorney saying that this pitiful individual suffers from (you just can't make this shit up!) , get this, "non-filers syndrome"...because he gets "clinically depressed" every time he even thinks about paying his taxes. Apparently, there is already a precedent for this condition that has been used "even in criminal defense". Ummm...WTF??? Then I think....cool....I may have to suffer from non registration and insurance syndrome next year, or non child support syndrome...yeah...I get a queasy feeling in my gut every time I have to do anything I don't like having to do...now I can officially skip all my responsibilities and claim some syndrome or another...then, not only do I not have to be responsible, I can have YOU pay for my "disability"....yeah...what a country!! I think we, as a country, need to get our collective heads out of our collective asses and stop tolerating such bullshit. It's so in line with the mentality of more and more people...God forbid you infringe on anyone's right to be a complete asshole. The same mentality that thinks along the lines of..."the owner of that quarry should be punished for not putting up a fence or barricade"...when the mentality should be..."the fuckin' idiot that almost killed himself because he was riding a dirt-bike while he was shit-faced in the quarry should be arrested for trespassing when he gets out of the hospital". ...but I digress...Barrack Obama will save us all O_o! (just in case you don't know me...the Obama comment is sarcasm at it's finest)
