Two cases of fandoms colliding recently brought to my attention
1. On this season of Project Runway, I only just realized Amanda is James Valentine's sister. (She said something at the beginning of the season that I had missed.) James Valentine, aside from being in Maroon 5, is also in JJAMZ, a band I have seen live twice. While James didn't perform with them for either of those shows, I did get to meet Jason Boesel (also of Rilo Kiley and the other J in JJAMZ) and chatted with him both times. So I'm now one degree of separation from personally knowing someone who has been on a reality show.
2. While perusing the cast of Teen Wolf's IMDb pages (as you do), I learned Tyler Hoechlin played for UC Irvine in the 2008 Super Regional against LSU and was the last out ever in old Alex Box Stadium. This means at least one of my family members (and probably a bunch of other people I know) has seen Tyler Hoechlin play baseball in person. I don't know if you understand the level of college baseball feels I have. I grew up going to games at Alex Box. My grandparents had season tickets since time began. Grandmother is 90 and still has her season ticket. Mom and some of her sibling split Granddad's season ticket after he died, so they take turns taking Grandmother to the games. If I ever meet Tyler Hoechlin at a con or something, I will probably have baseball feels all over him and completely forget that he has ever done anything else in his life.
