Mona Lisa Smile- A request to the revolutionaries
Hey everyone, doing great in cleveland, I'm starting to love my new youth group, the pastor last saturday picked out the new guys that he is going to disciple and im one of them, so thank God for that. I am excited about finally being spiritually nourished again, i feel like im growing again and im really trying to find things that are around me that will help me mature in the spirit, so that brings me to this movie "mona lisa smile" you can call it a girly movie or wuteve but I learned so much from it, i just sat down and took notes on the parts that hit home with me here they are-
-"At some point and time, at one point in your life, you must realize that if you want to make a change is you wish to bring about an overthrowing of the status quo, if you would like to make a difference you must stop joking around, you have to be serious, and live like its a serious priority in your life."
-The next thing I wrote down while i was watching this movie was "there will always be someone, something, or a group of people to go against what your trying to do. The person or group sometimes just wont like you or the actions you make, and they many times will try to speak against you, you must push through, press through, and break through all distractions."
-"God choses the roles we are born to fill, not the world, God chose your destiny before hr created the depths of the earth, dont let the devil or any other demon on this earth derail you from your destiny. The people the devil uses to distract you usually dont want you happy, they will go out of there way to make sure you end up miserable, but you must push through, press through, and break through all distractions, by the power of the holy spirit and Jesus christ who lives inside of you."
-"If you live by your own definition and its one that Jesus approves of, dont compromise it for anyone_know that when your being challenged by this world, or your challenging someone else to live to your standards."
NOTE TO REVOLUTIONARIES:people of God, son and daughters of the living lord, my precious brothers and sisters im afraid that I am not close enough distance wise to express these thoughts to all the people I want to hear them, So i ask you to spread thia among our family, do this...
go out and hunger to grow in the spirit as you hunger for food, but as you dont let your parents spoon fed you I ask that you dont let yourself spoon fed in the spirit, you must go out and take things like a movie or a song and learn things from them, God is always trying to teach us things and he is always trying to stretch but not break us in the spirit, all you have to do is open up your eyes and let God lead you in the spirit realm, and once he shares with you a peace of the revelation that we all want so badly, share it with your brothers and sisters so we can learn the lessons that you were taught, If we just wait to be fed by other people when those people leave or take there hand out of the situations you go through there will be no hope for any of us, I dont know when or at what point, but i do plan on returning to Georgia before i graduate, i hope with all my heart that these words will be a blessing not a curse, a motivation not a conflict, a good thing not a bad thing.
