Hurtling little missile people

Today I got to teach 2nd grade at River Heights elementary school. Oh man was it full of crazy little people running around. I swear I was never that small. It was totally awesome, what a great group of kids. I've even gotten better at efficiently running the class, managed to get all 27 kids planted and ready to go in one day. Talk about a totally new record. Last time (2 years a go) I was in their classroom it took me 2 full days to get them up and running. This year...much better. Last year they all came to visit us in the CPL. That was totally wild too.

I get to do it all over again next Thursday too when I go back to teach the second set of second graders. I also found out that this school year is Mrs. Keren Rey Lundhal's last year at RH. She's been teaching there for 15 years or so, and wow, I just can't believe it.

Oh yes, I heard from the Newman folks today, seems they had a wonderful time over the past week. I hope they have a safe journey back.
