Joemamma and I arrived safely. I bought a cool "Area 51 University" t-shirt at the "Fresh Alien Jerky" store in Baker. We all went to dinner at Fishhouse Vera Cruz. Grandma is pulling bread out of the bread machine. Tomorrow I get to see all the cousins and the rest of the family for our first Thanksgiving together in my memory. No, no fights,

i'm thankful for fred, and a roof over my head, OUR OWN roof in particular, my mom and my siblings, my kitties, food- especially good turkey day food- all my friends (who are forever showing me how wonderful they are), my artistic abilities, and i am especially thankful for being able to do what i love doing with those abilities and being appreciated for it.

I'm thankful for "internet art"

No...in all seriousness...I complain about my genetic code a lot...my albinism, my predisposition toward high blood pressure and a slow metabolism, etc...but I'm very very thankful I did not get early onset rhumatoid arthritis. It's reduced my sister to a miserable hunched over hobbling horribly dull shadow of her former self in a matter of two years...

It's really painful to watch.

I'm also thankful that my parents are not psychotically obsessed with betting "the edge" like the parents of her Korean students in tutoring sessions...that they are allowing me to choose how "ambitious" I am.

I'm thankful that my father is well off enough that he can support my bum-ass as Icram 4 years of college into 7.

I'm thankful that I live in this country where I can live comfortably even though I don't work and am already 24.

I'm thinkful for my Mom's yummy brownies...you should try these suckers, Joe...it's the next best thing to injecting chocolate intravenously.
