The dog kept wanting to touch noses with other dogs, which went fine on the outbound leg. On the return leg, he started to express his frustration at being restrained - lunging and barking. It totally threw me off my game. But that outbound leg kicked ass.
Heading away from the house, the moon hung low in the sky, about an hour from setting completely. Waxing gibbous, white and almost full, I felt like I could break stride to give a little hop, and manage to touch it. I didn't want to try, though, in case I couldn't.
