skylights

I like having skylights in my room. It's raining right now and there's such a soft pitter-patter of rain drops hitting the glass. It's not raining too hard. I don't like it when it rains really hard because then the noise is loud and keeps me up at night if I'm trying to sleep. But right now it's a soft rain. It's just enough to add a southing background noise that makes it seem so peaceful. And it's always nice to curl up under a warm blanket in your bed when it's raining outside. It's like it's what you should do. I will sleep well tonight I think. It's serene in my room.

(Of course, it could also be the 2.5 pints of Belgian Leffe Blonde beer I just had...)
