[I want to be cool] Someone I think is cool is someone who can show themselves at all circumstances. But I’m not at that level yet. I’m especially bad when it comes to being on stage. But during the Crea Concert, I went onstage, thinking, “I shouldn’t think too much about what I want to say,” and it turned out pretty good. I want to continue conquering my stage fright.
[I want grow my hair!] My school’s rules are really strict. Our hair can’t be touching our eyes or ears or collar, we can’t dye our hair, we can’t perm it, and we can’t even pin it… So realistically, my wish won’t come true soon, but I want to grow it a little bit and make it a little fluffy.
[I want to be Adam Lambert] He’s said to have God’s voice. I want to be him, even for one day, and do a live concert. If I could sing with that voice, I wonder how good that will feel.
Ryuya Shimekake
[I want to grow taller] When I told my parents that I want to grow taller, I was told, “Our family members are all short,” and I was shocked. True, my father and grandfather are both short. I’m 160cm right now. I want to be at least 175cm. Every night after I get out of the bath, I drink milk.
[I want to be less wimpy] I dislike bugs, and ghosts. I’m a big wimp. When I was in elementary school, it was our baseball club’s tradition to have a test of courage (kind of like a haunted house, except at school) every summer. I don’t want to be the one being scared, but it was also terrible to be the ghost and hide in the dark school alone.
[I want to act in a school drama] I went into the agency because I admired Akanishi Jin-kun from the drama, “Gokusen”. I want to act as a student in a school drama. I’m not very confident about my acting, but I’m good at memorization, so I think I’ll be good at memorizing my lines! I want to act as a cool role like F4 from the drama, “Hanayori Dango”.
Akio Matsumoto
[I want to be mature!] People often say, “You’re immature” to me. There are a lot of mature Jr.s who are younger than me, and I’m a freshman in high school. I guess I look kind of immature then. I want to fix my shyness, and then fix my actions and habits to seem more mature.
[I want to be better at dancing!] I check my dancing on “The Shonen Club” and fix the parts where I think my dancing isn’t good enough. My example is Yamada Ryosuke-kun from Hey! Say! JUMP, and Myuto-kun. I want to be able to dance and appeal that I’m full of energy!
[I want to act a funny role!] I can say some funny things to my close friends. So I want to act as a unique character that would make an impression to the people watching the drama. I want to do something like Nagase Tomoya-kun’s role in “My Boss, My Hero”.
Myuto Morita
[I want to put on weight] I’m currently 173cm and weigh 48kg, so I want to be at least 55kg. But it’s for my looks, so if I could put on a descent amount of muscle and become an upside-down triangle body, I don’t need 55kg. For that goal, I work out every day, and I’m also eating a lot, so I hope that brings positive results…
[I want to get better at singing] In order to be noticed, besides dancing, I have to get good at singing too, which I’m not very confident about. I want to be at the level that I’m able to entrance people with just my voice, without my dancing.
[I want to also be noticed by males] There are a lot of male fans who cheer me on. At the concert, I see a lot of males waving my uchiwa (fan). That makes me happy, and I want to increase younger Jr.s like Miura Wataru-kun, who say that he looks up to me.
Juri Tanaka
[I want to be a cool guy] I want to be someone who is tall and cool. And it’d be perfect if I have a descent amount of muscles! My ideal style is Junnosuke Taguchi-kun, and my ideal cool character is Yamashita Tomohisa-kun. Even if I’m not talking, people tell me, “Juri, you’re loud!!” so I’m way far from cool right now (laughs).
[I want to be good at English] Something I want to be good at is English. Before, when I asked my brother Koki to write me rap, he wrote up an English rap in ten minutes. I might want to learn English from my brother. I want to be able to write my original English rap someday!!
[I want Hip Hop JUMP to be a super group] My dream is to be a great group like SMAP. We have motivation, but when we all get together, it’s so fun that we end up playing (laughs). I want to work harder at dancing, and show off our personalities.
Keigo Hagiya
[I want to soundproof my room!] Currently, I’ve been practicing drums in my closed up room and lowering the volume of my electric drums. I want to soundproof my room and practice with a real drums set. Don’t you think practicing with electric drums is way different from practicing with a real drums set? And I need a drums set along with soundproofing my room, so maybe it’s too much of an extravagant dream?
[I want to get better at dancing and singing] I want to be at the level of singing that Tegoshi Yuya-kun is at, and I want to be at the level of dancing that Yamamoto Ryota-kun is at. I know that this isn’t something that I can wish for, but something I need to work hard for (laughs).
[I want to be in variety shows] I want to go on various location shoots in variety shows. If that dream can be accomplished, I would go on roller coasters (which I dislike), and I would do anything. I think trying your limits is what looks funny after all.
Jesse Lewis
[I want to play in the ocean] This summer, I want to hang out with the members of Hip Hop JUMP at the ocean. I want to bury Murohoshi in the sand, and have a swimming race. When I was in elementary school, I went to swimming school for five years, so I’m confident about my swimming skills! If it’s my breaststroke, I’m confident that I won’t lose to anyone.
[It’ll be awesome if I could ride a boat] I’ve ridden my friend’s father’s boat a few times before, and cruising feels really nice and awesome! We rode from Tokyo Bay to Yokohama, looking at the scenery and being blown by the sea breeze. It was relaxing and really fun. I want an extravagant ship with a bed, kitchen, and a guestroom someday.
[My dream is to CD debut!] When I was young, my wish was to become a soccer player, but my current dream is for Hip Hop JUMP fans to increase so we can CD debut. First, I want to widen our places of appeal
Shoki Morohoshi
[I want my height to grow] I’m 164cm right now, so I want to be around 170cm. Currently, I’m one of the shortest among the guys in my class. Following the saying, “Children grow in their sleep,” I’ve been sleeping before 12AM, and I’ve been eating a lot of proteins, which I heard will make you grow (?). It’s not very effective right now, but I want to grow!
[I want to debut!] This is actually my biggest wish (laughs). I want to have our own variety show, and I want each member to be in dramas and movies, like Arashi. In Arashi, I want to be someone like Ohno (Satoshi)-kun.
[I want war to disappear] I sometimes listen to war stories from my grandfather, and I’ve been thinking this since then. I can only keep on praying, but I think that’s important
