Potato July 2011. Boys be ambitious!!
Including the first appearance of some of those members, we've asked these 9 Juniors about their recent activities. And as the rainy season is near, you get to read about their ways of spending rainy days and their memories of rain as well! (editorial deadline was mid-may)
Yamashita Kazunari:
The handball game in YanYanJUMP was really fun! I'm really glad I got some shoots in. Now I'm giving my best at dance lessons for the concerts. I've become a bit better compared to when I entered the Juniors, but I still have to practice a lot more to level up! In private I enjoy playing soccer with my friends. Soon it'll be the rainy season with many days where we can't play outside, but when it comes to that... I'll sleep at home! (laughs) Like, as much as I'm wrecking havoc usually, I should let my body rest on rainy days.
Matsushima So:
I recently got my first fan letter, I was really happy! I hope I'll get many more from now on. Now I'm giving my all with rehearsals for JUMP's concerts and the recordings of YanYanJUMP. Because it's my first concert I'm looking forward to dancing in front of an audience. I'd be happy if I could talk to Chinen (Yuri)-kun, who I admire.
I don't like rain, but studying on rainy days is somehow progressing faster. That's why when it rain I often either study or spend time relaxing with my family. Playing (computer) games with my big sis and such. I love my family (lauhgs).
Sato Shori:
In the MC of Hey!Say!JUMP's concert Yabu (Kota).kun made an impersonation of me. Since then (Nakajima) Yuto-kun has started talking to me, which makes me happy. Dancing is difficult, but I want to give my best in the next shows. I'll be appearing in “Minna Kurie ni kite Kurie!” as well, nervous... A.B.C-Z's acrobatics are awesome, I want to learn some too!
I'm not good with rain. In the track and field club when doing long distance races, we had to practice outside if it's just a little rain... I really don't want to go outside on rainy days, but when I have to I tell myself “It's fun!” (laughs).
Taniguchi Yuya:
Before... concert... having a really frustrating experience. But using this frustration and practicing as hard as I could, dancing became more and more fun. That's why I really enjoy concert rehearsals now! And, what I am interested in now is the “Owarase Shiritori” that's done on YanYanJUMP. I'm bad at Shiritori, so with the rule that who ends it wins, I on the contrary have the confidence to win (laughs). On rainy days I often play (computer) games at home, not going anywhere I guess.
(sorry the first 2 lines of the scan were blurred, couldn't read them Y_Y)
Ushida Yusuke:
Now are Hey!Say!JUMP's concerts.... I feel the difficulty as well, but when I did dance that part well, the response is huge, too. And, I was really happy when during the MC of the JUMP concert the other day the (JUMP) members were kidding around with me, so I really want them to kid more the next time (laughs). On rainy days it's harder to get up in the morning than normally so I'll arrive at school just on time, I don't like it. But I want to give my best to raise the tension and get through the rainy season!
Jinguji Yuta:
I was back-dancing for Kanjani8 on “Music Station” a while ago. But because I was so nervous my head blanked all out, I actually don't remember anything (laughs). At JUMP's concerts I feel the joy of dancing in front of an audience a lot. Lately I got fan letters as well, so I have do give my best at dancing even cooler. I'm fine with falling rain, but I hate the damp smell after wards. The school ground is the worst (laughs). When it rains I scream “You idiot!” (to the rain) and try to spent my time at home as much as possible.
Kuramoto Kaoru:
What has left a deep mpression on me lately was loosing at the YanYanJUMP game every time, and having to drink the bitter tea! That one is truly bitter~ I always give my best saying “This time it'll be a success”, but when my own turn draws nearer I get nervous... I'm so weak against pressure (laughs). When I see it on air I know myself that I'm shaking of nervousness. I need to pay more attention to my smile, right! On days when rain falls, when it's only a little rain I play outside like always, and when it's pouring I'm being a good boy at home.
Yo (Seiryu) Marius:
My father is German and my mother is Japanese. I thought I’d like to become a Johnnys Junior because I like singing, dancing and acting, so I sent in my application last year. I was really happy and excited when I was allowed to appear in a concert for the first time. I’ll try my best with different things from now on, so please support me! I don’t hate rainy days. Because rain is needed for the earth.
Yo Seiryu. Born 30.03.2000. Blood type O. From Germany. Special skill: Piano, dance. Strong point: Nice! Favourite food: Yakiniku. Favourite colour: Pink.
Takahashi Rin:
I've got pretty used to “The Shonen Club”. When dancing at the front I was looking around nervously, but now I dance while looking at the camera or the audience. I was really happy when I spotted an uchiwa with “RinRin” in the audience~. For JUMP's concerts as well, the excitement of the audience is amazing. Because I like dancing in formations I give my best to match my breath with the others. I hate it when the hem of my jeans and such gets drenched by the rain. So much that I might decline if a friend asks me to play. My tension goes down during the rainy season. I respect snails who don't care about the rain (laughs).
