Keigo Hagiya: The ones who are hunter-like are Jesse and Morohoshi. Jesse has a “The S” (The Sadist) sort of aura, and when Morohoshi gets teased by a younger junior, he seriously chases after him (smile). The time when my hunter-self comes out is when I’m shopping. When there’s a set of drumsticks or some clothing that I really want, I’ll keep going around stores until I find it. But the thing that I want most now isn’t an object, it’s a scuba diving license. It’s impossible to get it right now, but I want it someday! Talking about girls, I’d rather pursue them than be pursued. However, instead of chasing them intensely, I think it’d be better to get close to them naturally.
Recently, my feeling of wanting to work harder as a junior has gotten stronger. My sempai have accomplished so much, and I think that has made me self-conscious. Before, I memorized the choreography on my own, but now I meet up with the rest of Hip!Hop!JUMP and practice with them.
Juri Tanaka: I have an unexpectedly cautious side, so whenever there’s something I want to do, I have thoughts like: “what would happen if I failed?” and can’t act full-heartedly. Therefore I don’t really have any hunter qualities. Conversely, guys like Morohoshi are totally hunter-like. Because like a lion, he never lets his prey escape (smile). Right now, the thing that I want is singing skills! In particular, I want to become like Yūya Tegoshi-kun and be able to sing in a way that communicates my feelings to the audience. To do that, I’m listening to a lot of different singers and studying how they do it. My technique for catching a girl’s heart? The best way is to gently make a connection with her, of course. I’m still awkward at talking to girls, and my feelings are bigger than I can express, so I just have to try to win her over when I get a chance. Speaking of which, my height suddenly increased, yo. I’m 171cm now!
Shōki Morohoshi: I’m super hunter! To me, there’s nothing like the feeling of: “I caught this guy” that I get when after capturing my opponent when playing tag. Juri’s like the prey who’d get caught and eaten (smile). Someday I’d sure like to try hunting for real. If I could, I’d like to live on a deserted island! I have confidence that I’d win if we did a survival-style competition. But Jesse seems like he’d be a genius at it too. Also with girls, if they’re cold to me, it has the opposite effect and I get fired up. Even so, I can’t pursue them intensely (smile). The thing I want right now is a pair of soccer cleats. Lately I’ve really wanted to play soccer, and am thinking about forming a team.
Recently my family moved, and I got my own room. Up until now I’ve had to share with my little sister, so I’m really happy and excited. I plan to have a simple interior!
