I want to be America's Next Top Model.
I was a little disappointed to see VH1 was starting a week-long marathon of ANTM on New Years Eve instead of airing some sort of Top 100 Countdown, so instead we listened to music provided by my date, and watched a couple concert and video dvd's of mine. It wasn't until the next day I turned the TV to channel 23 and caught an episode of the competition. While taking down Christmas decorations, I got hooked on the critques of these [sometimes] pretty skinny girls. I love the girls, I love the judges, and I really love the makeup artist.
I think I started with Season 3, but didn't get to see the last episode because it was getting to be 3:00 in the morning, and I had to get up at 6am. The next day I saw one season finale (maybe season 4, or 5?), and the start of another season. Thursday night I got my NYE date hooked on the show while watching several episodes of Season 7, and last night I watched more than a handful of season 8, all the way until 3:00AM when they announced the winner. In less than an hour they're starting season 9, and I couldn't be more excited about the way I plan to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Nigel Barker is SO hot, and even Jay Manuel, despite the fact he is caked with makeup, makes me feel like a high school girl every time he's on screen. I also miss seeing Janice Dickinson on the judges panel, but she was a little too hard on the heavier girls I thought, and hasn't returned since the end of season 4. I really can't believe I was pulled in so easily, but I have to say I'm considering joining Netflicks again, if only so I can start from the beginning and rent every season.
Really, that's about all there is goin' on right now. Sunday managed to make it through her first night this week without shitting on my kitchen floor, but that still doesn't make me feel any better about the $110.44 I spent at the vet to be told "it'll clear up".
And I thought they said it was supposed to be around 40° today??? It actually seems like one of the dreariest, coldest days yet this winter. Fuckin' meteorologists!
