what would you take?
I'm leaving Sunday morning to go for a spur-of-the-moment trip to Calgary with my boyfriend. His company is sending him there for more training... so... my question is, what would you take?
I'll be alone from about 7:30am until 5:30pm daily - I do plan on doing a bit of shopping and a bit of sightseeing with a cousin (who lives there), but other than that, I'm a little nervous of exploring Calgary on my own (never really been there on my own before). What sort of journalling/art supplies would you bring with you?
I'm thinking I'm going to bring: art journal & extra paper, sketching/drawing pencils, coloured ink pens/felts and a few scraps/bits of paper & a glue stick/scissors... I'm wondering if this is too much/not enough... I was also thinking of making a small little book of plain recycled brown paper and taking that with me and documenting the Calgary I discover.
For those of you who live or shop in Calgary - any good shops I should know about?? I'll have a vehicle the whole time, so distance doesn't matter at all.
