ITALY
it is amazing.
right now i'm in Cortona, a little tiny hill town in Tuscany. It is so beautiful that at times you could almost want to cry. The hostel we're staying in is more beautiful than hotels i've stayed at and the food's better too. my group is awesome, there are 10 of us(only 2 boys, poor guys), and everyone is wonderful and hilarious. i'm the only californian and giggle every time someone says wicked.
We started out in rome for 3 days, which was INTENSE (5 blisters the first day) but i saw everything, including the Pope. from there we came to Cortona, and we've been taking really easy language classes and taking day trips. so far we've gone to a castle on a lake and gone swimming (i also bought an incredibly expensive REALLY hot dress that you guys won't recognize me in. i have pictures of me after the other girls dressed me up.) and florence, which was so rich in history that i was a little scared. tomorrow we head out to sienna for another daytime adventure.
I'll see you all in 4 weeks.
