Happy 11th Anniversary!

11 years ago on this day of September 15 Arashi was formed in Honolulu, Hawaii. It was announced that a 5 member group would be supporting the Women's Volleyball team for 1999. In 2000, Arashi welcomed the new millenium in both Japan and Hawaii. They had a lot of fun in Hawaii with each other and their fans.

People say that Arashi was a random grouped formed only by coincidence of having a passport. Like Aiba said, "I wonder what would have happened if I hadn't had a passport when Johnny-san called." Yes, Aiba, we all wonder. But it's a good thing all 5 of you had a passport or Arashi would have never been the same.

Every Junior's goal is to debut, but that wasn't the case for the majority of Arashi. Ohno planned on quitting so he could become an artist. Nino wanted to quit so he could become a director in America. Sho wanted to quit so he could concentrate in school. While Aiba's sole purpose of joining JE was to play basketball with SMAP, to this day he hasn't done that yet. Jun, the "elite" of the group, always wanted to become part of the entertainment business.

Throughout these 11 years of tears, smiles, and confusion, Arashi has certainly found a place in every fan's heart.

Keep going strong, Arashi!
