oh gee. i guess it's about time i found this place. 8D i'm steve. :) i'm 19 years old, and i live in o-town, florida. x) yay~ and of course, i enjoy jrock and jpop and all that jazz.
top five artists? okay, here we go. :B this is in no particular order~
POLYSICS! - They're fun, loud, hyper, and totally awesome. :) And they've done covers for some songs done by the most awesome bands ever. :) Their concerts are fun and energetic and anything that fun deserves to be in my top five. 8D
hide - Yeah, is there a reason why he shouldn't be here? :D
Supercar - I love how the majority of their music is so laidback and mellow. This is summertime music, and considering where I live, it's summertime almost year round. 8D Totally relaxing and such.
Never Crazy - It sucks that they were just starting to get popular and then one of them up and died, but I enjoy their music. :D It manages to be loud and still involve singing to a varying degree, and it has a catchy beat.
The Mad Capsule Markets - Again, fun and loud. Kind of old too, but seriously. Anyone who toured with RATM automatically earns a medal of awesome.
Other Japanese bands and musicians I like are: Love Psychedelico, B'z, Takui, Ken Hirai, Imitation PoPS Uchuu Sentai NOIZ, J, Dokaka, Illreme, Bazra, Thee Michelle Gun Elephant, Southern All Stars, High & Mighty Color, m-flo, Merzbow, ORANGE RANGE, Quruli, Spitz, moools, ROVO, Mr. Children, Maher Shalal Hash Baz, Nitro Microphone Underground, Yoshida Brothers, and The Brilliant Green.
However, I'm not just a fan of Japanese music, I like music from all over the place. China, Korea, Norway, the UK, Canada, you name it :) I also like to make graphics and roleplay. :B Video games own my soul (especially FF8), while stuff I don't like owns my wrathful vengeance. I talk about teaching and school a lot, or just random crap. A word of warning: Dir en grey fans probably won't like my journal. :x so yeah. That's me. 8D
Also, I'm not really a comment whore. I comment on people's journals when I have something of relevance (or non relevance; your post may simply remind me of something) to say. :D
