I see with surprise that Nate Silver's analysis is the found ballots were probably an honest mistake. I'm wondering what you think ...

I think this is a case where, although every external sign points to shenanigans (the reputation and record this county clerk has is amazing horrible when it comes to elections), it stretches credibility beyond the breaking point to think that a fraud would be exercised in such an incredibly incompetent manner.

The ballots are all there; it's not like all that exists are some bits in a computer.

Unless she somehow manufactured and marked ballots, or changing the vote on some of the ballots (in which case why suddenly discover 14000 ballots a day after the results had been tallied?) I just don't see it. She may have committed fraud, but it was not the fact of discovering 14000 ballots.

A few others have suggested that the 14000 is some sort of distraction from the real fraud, which is at least conceivable, I suppose. Still, would you want every election lawyer and maybe the FBI poking around the office where you (and your conspirators?) had committed such fraud?
