There used to be. Those sorts of folks are all moderate-to-Conservative Democrats now, except in Maine. And possibly Vermont. I think the ones in Massachusetts and Rhode Island are all gone now.

Yes. All Republicans in Massachusetts were deported to Utah once Romney ceased being Governor in 2007. The only exceptions were the few left in the Massachusetts legislature, as deporting them would have violated federal statutes.

As of his date Rhode Island was still negotiating with South Carolina.
