Well, they're over. You wait all year and then poof! All gone. Then comes the clean-up. We had my oldest brother and his family down (3 boys/men---19,22,26) and we had a real nice time. Lots of cards (mainly Pinochle and Michigan Rummy). The men golfed Christmas morning and we didn't get around to the presents until 2:30 or something close to it. Dinner was our traditional fondue. There are 2 reasons, I've been told. When my older siblings were younger, they were always flitting about from friend's house to friend's house so she wanted something easy. Also, it allowed time for conversation while you were waiting for your meat to cook.

All but one left Wednesday night to drive back to Maryland and the middle son flew out God-awful early Thursday morning to Phoenix because he is in the Notre Dame band and had to be there for the Fiesta Bowl (We won't go there).

New Year's Eve/Day was quiet. Stayed up to see the ball drop and wonder why Dick Clark was there. He looked like hell.

Hm, what else? Looking at going to the South Florida Fair in a couple weeks. Don't do the rides because my friend doesn't care to but we look at the booths and check out the livestock. Kinda cool. Ah, and then Spring Training tickets go on sale. Can't wait!

I picked up a little inexpensive DVD player and set it up in the guest room so I can watch stuff when the other TV is in use. (I already have 2 VCRs in my room) and I've been watching a few eps of Firefly every night. One more ep to go and then it's time for the BDM!

Oh, and I've starting reading the full Chronicles of Narnia. I found them bound in one book for $14 and they're in chronological order, not the way they were written. So I've finished "Magician's Nephew" and started "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" this afternoon. What I didn't remember is that the witch/empress from MN is the same as LWW.

I think that's it for now. My ramblings are at an end...for now
