Essay completion; Mountain ascension.

Well, finally all my essays have been handed in and my first and second year are - albeit not yet officially - passed and complete. For those who are interested, I got 75 for the final essay I was working on, so I'm pretty pleased with that. It means I can go into my final year and have no previous work hanging around my neck, which should be a pleasant and unusual experience!

No other exciting news here though I'm afraid. I betrayed the independent optician that I go to in Leicester, and paid a visit to the Specsavers in Aberystwyth yesterday. I'm not sure if their constant onslaught of advertising softened my view towards them, or whether it was just the word 'savers' in their brand-name, given my 'typical student' financial situation. All the same, I have chosen two pairs of glasses to replace the wonky and severely scratched and cracked pair that I have at present, and they arrive on Monday. Yes, what fun.

In other news, James and I drove down the road to Mynydd Bach today - which is somewhere in between, but to the East of Aberystwyth and Lampeter. The name means 'small mountain' which maybe gives the rest of the story away! I tried my hand at some panoramic photographs of the views, which was more of an achievement than it may sound as we were being attacked by flying ants at the time. Anyhow, the results are below, click on them for a larger image, they are about 1.5mb each.
