Mini-update
I found out today that, as expected, I'll be staying in a hotel for the first week or two after my arrival in Lusaka. I also found out that I may be staying in a house rather than an apartment (I'd assume shared, but we'll see) thereafter, and if so I may have to have a car assigned to me. If so, I need to learn to drive on the left. Fun times...
Other good news: I found out that I can arrive a couple days before my first day of work, so I'll probably arrive on the 18th or 19th of July and begin work on the 21st. I was a bit worried about stingy travel policies, but I'm very glad to find out that's possible.
