California Dreamin'

So I had a crazy wierd dream about a week ago, after I'd hit the snooze button on my alarm clock for another half hour of sleep.

Strange dream.

It started I was in my room, and my Dad and my sister Abby (who I look up to and respect in a lot of ways) were there. Abby was talking to me about how her old roommate used to have a pet falcon, and that this was it.

What was it?

In a little clear plastic box (that I can't help but wonder who the heck engineered because it was so poorly put together) was this gray bird. The textures on its feathers were very similar to what I remember a perigrine falcon's to look like. Somehow, though, I knew that the thing liked to try to escape, and so as the box started to fall apart (more of a crappy cage than a box), and as I'm trying to put it together, the bird flies out the hole.

Next thing I know, the bird has become a full-blown falcon and, after trying to fly out the window, got its head caught. My sister, acting as though this had happened a million times before, takes the bird and puts it back in the box and it becomes the little bird again. Then the box starts to fall apart again, and the bird escapes, and is a falcon with its head caught in the window. My sister puts it back in the cage for a second time, only this time it stays as a big falcon. Don't know what happened to it, I guess we put it off to the side (how the hell it fit in that box is beyond me).

Next alternative pet? My sister pulls out this box like the first one, which has in it a big red snake with a black diamond design all along its back. I'm looking at the box thinking, "there's no way this is gonna hold it." I look at my sister and ask if this is one of Kyle's snakes, and she says that it is, and that it's one of the ones that can kill you with one bite.

After that, the box starts to break and the snake starts to get out. So I put the snake down facing my father in a sort of "you deal with it" type of way. The cage completely breaks, and the snake is crawling around on my bed, looking about ready to bite someone. Meanwhile I'm screaming, "I'M TERRIFIED! CALL ANIMAL CONTROL!" It's about to bite, when my alarm goes off and I wake up.

So I told Karen Tremper, who is renowned for her prophetic gifting on campus. She said that she wasn't very good at dream interpretations at all, but that if I emailed her the dream, she would forward it to someone she knew who was good at them.

Still no response.

So I went and got myself a In order of appearance:

All in all, it was one of those really creepy dreams that I still don't quite understand. I mean, I kinda get it, and the dream interpreter helped, but as of yet it's still a mystery...
