Hi You!
I'm Back!!!! I was a victim of POWER OUTAGE 2006. K, the power was only out here for 2 days.....but still! I tell ya, I would make a bad camper. I guess flannel doesn't make the man. I kept putting it on....but nothing....no trees were chopped down to make firewood....no knife was suddenly weilded to hunt down big game to make food.....
My hunting and gathering skills consisted of driving around endlessly to find Pesto logs and fire wood that somebody else had cut. However, I did get to demonstrate my culinary skills over the BBQ with slightly homemade stew, and instant coffee.
But Joe...that was only 2 days????? Where have you been??? (you ask)
We'll.....here's the rub. (yes a craftily inserted culinary term) ((rub)) After the power came back on, the power mysteriously went back out in my art studio. Hence......no computer...(sob). I only survived the withdrawl by getting on Mary's computer late at night, checking my emails and playing a few MSN online computer games.......devastating I know....
Meanwhile visions of blogging filled my head as X-mas grew nearer....and my trusty electrician (A man named Alex) was busy with his own power outage issues. He finally got his power back a few days ago. You know.....when you find an electrician you like, it is worth staying loyal. (I'm sure there's a "Made for TV movie" in there somewhere) Anyway he popped out here yesterday and worked his electrical magic...and "poof"...the poor lonely art studio has power again. I paid him more than what I thought was the pultry sum that he asked for, and gave him a Max dog pulldog prototype. He had seen the inside of my art studio and noticed all the art....and yes...(liked it)....and lived to tell about it.
Anyway, did you all have a nice X-Mas?? Ours was busy.....very busy. With the power issues, little Pierre was transplanted 4 times, back and forth between tanks trying to keep him from turning into frozen Lobster.
I thought I would show you some things I got this year.
The Ryden book was from Mary, The board game book was a present to myself...
This little bum I bought off Ebay, shortly before X-mas.....ya another present to myself..I couldn't help it, I saw him...I had to have. I think he was actually a toy give-away back in the 40's for the Brooklyn Dodgers as a Mascot. He was made by Rempel. The TV in the 2nd pic was an Xmas gift from my mom and brother. It has a DVD player in it :) There is a Twilight Zone marithon playing right now...
2 of the gifts that Lori sent me. ((Thank you Lo)) a shell for Little Pierre's tank, and a deadly puffer fish for me. Do you see how brave I am.....holding the fish....so cavalierly.
Perhaps...the greatest present of all....the gift that keeps on giving...Mary gave this to me.
This is what's inside the kit.
Who would have thought you could make sausage with these items? Such holy meat can be produced so easily? The pink salt really threw me off. I smell a special blog presentation coming...
I recieved other items also, but I'm tired of blabbing about what I got. Please share what you got.
My plans for the day:
Cleaning....
Making Crock of Spag for dinner tonight
Doing some form of artwork
Celebrating the new year with Champagne and being lazy
Happy 2007
PEACE LOVE SAUSAGE
