Thank God It's Friday..

What an uneventful day. For me, I mean, sitting in this office, swinging around on this chair (like literally) because most people are on leave. I've been given the job of collecting data and putting it in one huge enormous excel sheet, which is apparently meant to take me ages but I suppose they failed to realise I'm from the 20th century and grew up computer literate, no offence.

It's a sad day though. I woke up bright and early, as per usual, and had to eat my breakfast while I contemplated the news that probable future Pakistan President, Benazir Bhutto, had been assinated. I know I know, polictics to me is like accounting (read that as: I know nothing) but I still feel sad because in many ways it's a step backwards for a number of reasons.

I mean, number one: how many strong, independant, stand-out-of-the-crowd female leaders are there in this world? Not many.

Number two: certainly a step backwards for Pakistan and the 'War on Terrorism.'

Number three: I was beginning to think that she could have been this generations version of Nelson Mandela. Sure she didn't get sent to jail, but she was exiled. I'm probably wrong, but I can't think of any single person that has risen to the occasion such as that of previous humanitarians (ie. Martin Luther King Jr, Mother Theresa etcetc), sure there's Al Gore but I'm on a so-so par with him. I guess what I'm looking for is someone that had nothing and never wanted anything else but still achieved so much for everyone else.

Well I'm ranting so I'll stop here before I make someone feel the need to post some hatemail telling me how incredibly wrong I am.
