I dont miss it all that much..
Glen Waverley Secondary one year reunion last night! And oh wasn't it good? I was quite surprised at the turnout, for some reason I had anticipated the worse and had envisioned a bunch of us just standing around, but I'm glad it was quite the opposite. It really didn't feel like anyone had changed at all and even though I hadn't seen some people since we graduated, it was like we never left high school. No, seriously, we're exactly the same as we were in high school. We weren't just a rowdy group of young adults in a RSL, but we were a rowdy group of drunk young adults. Okok, so that only applies to what we see as the 'Popular, outgoing aussie group' but, Goddamn, was it so typical and so hilarious. I will forever remember Zach's rants about his intense dislike for a certain somebody along with the image of some guy eating a tree. Literally.
Galavanting at the park was the usual shivering and peering around in order to identify people. It was certainly mass people with the carpark being completely full (and Lyn parking sort of in the middle of the road :P). Then off to McDonalds where we realised that they were closed inside so we all had to drive-through, or walk-through, and then sit like bums in the carpark. Ahh, I love my Class of '06.
It's a pity that last night may be the last time we see some people, but hey, that's life.
I'm off to soothe my lack of voice.
