Goodbye weekends.

So this is what's been happening in the past year and a half:

I haven't taken a holiday.
I haven't gone to any big concerts, shows or festivals.
I have tried really hard not to buy everything at Lady Petrova.

And now I am finally on the market to buy a house! It's no big secret, I tell anyone who wants to talk to me. Even all the Lady Petrova ladies know I'm into real estate these days.

Honestly though, it's hard not to talk about it when your life revolves around endless searches on domain.com, going to inspections, talking to mortgage brokers, talking to conveyancers, talking to real estate agents, going to auctions.
So far Ken and I have been actively looking for one month and have seen at least 30 houses, gone to four auctions and bid on one house. I'm pretty much a pro now; I might quit my job and become a real estate agent.

I'm a realist (pessimist) so I'm expecting that we'll probably win the fifteenth house we bid on. I dread not having my weekends for the next three months, if that's what it truly takes.

On the bight side, my rabbit is loving all the free brochures and books we bring home. She's slowly building a nest of paper.

love, the block, life
