Weeping willows..

I had the absolute opportunity of a lifetime last night, when I was invited to attend a private viewing of the visiting Claude Monet's exhibition currently showing at the National Gallery of Victoria.

Actually, my dad was invited by Singapore Airlines, having accumulated more than three million frequent flyer points. A number of weeks ago, he casually emailed me my plus one invitation along with the subject line, "Do you want to go to this? I have no idea who this painter is, he's probably really crap and unknown." Knowing full well, that I hunt the globe for Monet paintings and that the only reason I went to Paris was to visit the Oval Room.

Here is a photo I accidentally took with my phone while typing a text to Ken about how I was making weird sobbing noises.

Honestly though; so beautiful.
And being able to see these paintings without being pushed by tourists, art students, people on a first date, is something I will never forget.
I'd pay money to see this exhibition, so go check this out before Monet leaves Melbourne forever!

Now dreaming about when I'll next be in Paris.
And whether it's possible to get married inside the Musee de l'Orangerie..

art, the life list
