My David Attenborough moment.
On the way home last night, Reyan and I saw a fox! Actually, we didn't know what it was at first. It was rather lanky with very point ears, so I thought it was a dog at first, but the tail was bushy and out of proportion with the rest of the body. Then I thought it was huge, mutated possum for around 10 seconds before FOX finally came into my head. I think it was a case of knowing, in theory, what a fox should look like, but never having actually seen one in real life before.
My friends in university are always telling me to lock up my chickens well at night, because of the threat of foxes, however I'd always dismiss them since I live in a fairly urbanised area. Hopefully Mr. Fox won't be sneaking around my garden for a quick snack! That said, they're such cute, sneaky buggers (the one we saw crawled under a tiny gap in a fence) that I think I like foxes very much indeed now.
