To avoid the mad rush that is
Chadstone VIP day/night, I woke up relatively early (for me!) and managed to make it to the shops before noon. It was bliss! Lots of places to park, no pushing and shoving and no queues to the change rooms! Since I'm such a shopaholic, I can't enter Chadstone without some sort of plan, so for the sake of my bank account I didn't check out all the stores and managed to leave after three hours.
I picked up a nice watch from
Fossil for university friend who is turning 21. It's becoming a tradition for environmental engineers to receive watches on their 21st birthdays LIKE HARRY POTTER, YOU KNOW!! I also had a look through
Sportsgirl, but for some reason it doesn't interest me like it used to. On the other hand, I spent two hours in
Portmans. I would have spent longer in there, but it was becoming sort of embarassing going in and out of the change rooms. I think it's official, Portmans is my new Sportsgirl; I literally want everything in there. Managed to get two skirts, one silk top, one necklace and a scarf for under $140.
OH I KNOW, it all looks like corporate wear. I'd even say they look like ideal work clothes for a more tropical climate. Hint hint!
OKAY FINE YOU GOT IT OUT OF ME; I had a tiny tiny lapse. I was squeeing so much when I walked through the new, expensive section that my feet carried me into Chanel before I knew it. Then my hands were on a gold shift dress, then I was in a change room, then I was wearing a $1200 Chanel dress. A-mazing.
