So many stories of where I've been..

Who didn't go to Chadstone's VIP event yesterday?
(Obviously this is a rhetorical question and it is not necessary for anyone to bless me with comments about my lack of sustainability)

Peter, Chris L, Lisa, Cammy and I gallivanted around Chadstone shopping centre yesterday. As is with VIP shopping events, we bumped into numerous friends and our gallivanting group was eventually joined by Angel, ChiiShi and Milan, my new fashion buddy who shares my love for John Galliano and haute couture. Oh, and I also had the pleasure of bumping into the lovely plainlyquixotic and her mysterious man, S, who I feel like I know so well! I really hope he gets accepted into college somewhere in Melbourne :)

It was sales galore in Chadstone however I had my mind pretty set on only getting one thing.

I first saw this Tilkah bag in the Chapel Street store when I ventured into the city a couple of days ago with Vicky and Indi. Tilkah is up there, along with Luxe Accessories, on my list of to-gos for good quality leather goods. All their designs are well thought out and are made out of the softest leathers and canvasses. Coincidently, as I write this, it seems that Tilkah has just opened an online store. It doesn't seem to stock all their products, but it's a good start.

Unfortuantly Tilkah is also relatively pricey, as expected, and so I withheld from buying this bag last Sunday in a hope that Chadstone's VIP event would turn out a good discount. Lucky for me, the 20% off was a welcome.

Apart from my bow fetish, what I love about this bag is the fact that everything has being so well made. Though no one but me will ever see, the inside of it is lined in beautiful floral canvas, plus I also have the option of wearing it with a chain or leather strap. So cute!

After our purchase (Lisa was also sucked in at the loveliness of Tilkah), we dragged the boys around to window shop. While we were admiring shoes in Nine West, the shop assistants were rather taken by my yellow bow Luxe bag, and so I continued to rant, in my fangirl manner, about Luxe Accessories. I was so enthusiastic that one of the girls asked me, "Are you a promoter for them?" Oh, how I wish. Maybe when I hit my mid-30s crisis I'll quit my 9-5 job and start my own boutique, stocking all my beloved independent designers. I know you can't wait!

Anyhow, soon after the girls left and it was time for the boys to drag me around. Milan was on a perfume hunt and we spent ages in Myers sniffing scents until I could taste them. After this, we spent time in the Men's Department for Peter's work-shirt hunt and, by this time, we were clocking close to six hours in the mall. No wonder I was dying to get out, it was like a jail; trapped between racks of clothes.

It looks like I won't be buying anything for a while. I've told Reyan to stop me from buying anything for the next 2-3 weeks, so if anyone should see me in a store, please tackle me down; my budget will thank you for it. OH, BUT 50% OFF EVERYTHING AT CACTUS JAM!!! I kid, I kid, no more shopping for me.
