Frist things first,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

misspaprika

AKA AFFI!!!!!!

For some reason, LJ wouldn't let me put that all on the same line so I thought I'd pretend I did it on purpose for effect. But seeing as I just told you that, I guess the jig is up. But the point is, I hope you have a fantastic birthday Affi. You are wonderful and I am forever in your debt for hosting me and driving me all around your glorious city and for that you deserve to have the greatest of birthdays!!!

The next topic I wish to discuss is how much I missed tv while studying for my exams. I mean, I really really missed it. I finally wrote my last exam yesterday and I celebrated by watching 5 straight hours of tv last night, followed by two hours of tv taped from Sunday this morning. This fantastic viewing experience has led to my need to declare my love for two television show.

Firstly, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Seriously, how did I not discover this show before this season?! I'm actually in love with it. Words cannot express how much love I have for it. I don't think I've ever gotten through a show without laughing out loud at least 3 times. These guys are just so hilarious and so so gay! I love them and I really want them to be my friends. To illustrate their awesomeness, I will now point out that Carson Kressley (the fashion guy on the show) just published a book entitled "Your Different and That's Super". It's about a unicorn. No further explanation is required.

This brings me to Grey's Anatomy. Another new discovery. It's amazing that all this time it has been on right after Desperate Housewives and I have never even thought to keep the tv on. How foolish I have been. It's a funny show with just the right amount of seriousness to avoid being sappy. And also? It has great music. I want to find some of the songs played on the last few episodes. If anyone knows where I could do that, just let me know. I haven't really explored the official website extensively so it might be right in front of my face but I'm not sure. And I love George, obviously. How could I not? He's like the Greg Sanders of Grey's Anatomy.

Ok I know it's a little late but I seriously had a lot of trouble thinking of stuff to put on this

Step One
*Make a post to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

*If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

*Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
*Surf around your friends list (or friends friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

*If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

*You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

*There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Ok so here's mine. And I'm not even totally pleased with it but it was seriously difficult!

1. Jewelery. I'm totally stealing Danielle's idea on this one. I do not have the ability to distinguish the pretty jewelery from the ugly jewelery. I'm hopeless. And if you make jewelery? Even better.

2. Icons. I don't have a program for making them and I've generally been too lazy to seek one out and I forget what everyone suggested to use, etc. Basically I'm lazy and it sucks searching through icon communities to take other people's and have to credit them and all that stuff and I get sick of my 3 that I'm allowed pretty quickly. If you know me you know what I like so. Yes.

3. Anything related to my favourite bands. Check out my MySpace for a semi-comprehensive list. I recently realized that I own nothing band-related which makes me sad seeing as music is such a big part of my life. I don't care if it's a button, sticker, shirt with an iron-on transfer, whatever. I just love me some music.

4. Fandom-related paraphanelia. And it doesn't actually have to be tangible paraphanelia. Let's say you have some awesomely fantastic CI-related video on your computer that I've never seen (which is likely), send it! See my interests list/Myspace for help with this one too.

5. Go HERE and do this. It's a good cause, and every click is doubled this month for the holidays!

6. A text message. I know it's small, but I seriously love these things.

7. Make me something! Can you knit? sew? bedazzle? DO IT.

8. Watch a new tv show and review it for me. Seriously, I don't have time to watch every show. I need help!

9. Lipgloss/balm/tint/whatever. I have a small addiction to this stuff. I really love new ones. If you have a favourite, recommend it to me!

10. Music! I love music. I really really do. If you know of something similar to my general tastes (or not) that you really think I will love, tell me! Once again, you can get a good idea of the stuff I like from my Myspace. I haven't updated it that recently but it's still fairly comprehensive I would say. Basically, as a general rule, if you check out the interests I have listed on LJ and my MySpace you really can't go wrong. Taken together, those are bascially me in Internet form.

Oh yeah, if you need contact info just tell me and I'll e-mail it to you. And I guess that's it for this entry! Right on.
