O.K. no picture for Rebbelle

Hi - I'm sorry I cannot find the blinkin' picture I was after. The lady I am thinking of wore a red corset type bodice and a skirt with an apron, over a shift. This will be perfectly O.K. for you - the skirt and top can be different colours. In my experience, and I am happy to be proved wrong, kirtles worn under other garments tended to be all in one colour. However, sometimes they must have been worn without a gown so you should be O.K. with Drea's kirtle, as long as you have a lonf sleeved shift under it - you can always roll up the sleeves.

As for shoes, I have seen Tudor shoes very like Mary Janes, so if you have a pair of these you should be O.K. I personally wear a pair of black lace up shoes, as I won't spend the money on *real* shoes. Whatever you do, don't wear trainers or tennis shoes - I have seen it! Yeuck!

If you need to contact me, remember I am away from tomorrow for a week, and my temporary e-mail address is cdotldotclarke@btinternet.com
