Well, this week has been quite busy for all sorts of reasons. I had a fitting with my Victorian crinoline lady, and two gentlemen for Regency breeches, not all at the same time, fortunately!! All the fittings went well, and with luck I should manage to get them done before I go away for the first week, or during the gap before I go away the second ( Read more... )

Hmmm! Regency breeches patterns! I think I will be picking brains in the summer - hoping to make E a set of breeches and a tail coat so we can go to the Jane Austen Festival in Bath at the end of September in costume!!!!

Looking forward to seeing you at the Oyster Fayre - which day are you coming? Remember to go to Col Town Station. Its closer to the town centre by a good 15 to 20 minutes!

Kate, from the fabric shop, and I will be there on the Saturday. We plan to get to C. Town at 12.07 (thanks I'd remembered) and come straight to the market to suss out the goods. Will you be in a frock again?

A tailcoat can be difficult to get "firm" enopugh at the collar to stand up. Do you tailor? It would be useful. Breeches patterns no problem.

I don't tailor but I'd like to learn! It may be useful if I start to get commissions for WWII WAAF or PMRAFNS Service dress!!

I am assuming an easy thing to do is to fit the whole thing onto Edmund! I DO like draping!

I am hoping to be in a frock - MAY be a trial run for the new red dress but that depends on whether I get it finished enough to wear it AND whether the weather will be fine! If not, then I will be in my flemish gown.

Have a hunt for the "bowling for a piggie" game and if I am not around there, Mum can phone me on my mobile so I can come to see you.

No change to the number though I do have a nice super new phone now! More importantly I have a far better deal on the phone contract as well!
