HCCO Happypillz!
Today's HCCO prac was the most fulfilling one I've experienced since I joined HCCO.
Its so hard to describe everything in words, but today I put in my 101% during xiaozu and dazu and I focused and felt the *magic* in the music (something I haven't felt since I left NYGZ) and it was cathartic; I felt so relieved of all the emotional baggage I've been carrying for the past few days and after prac I just felt so refreshed, the 4 hours passed really quickly, but the feeling of everyone (esp tanbo!!) playing together as one and making music together is just so rewarding I don't think anything else could ever match up to that feeling of joy and satisfaction. Its really what keeps me going in school and what I look forward to most, and I definitely don't regret joining HCCO after my experience in NYGZ because aside from the fact that I get to keep in touch with (chinese) music, I also get to enjoy a whole new experience of playing in a CO with richer harmonies, equally beautiful melodies, wider range of sounds, and even though half the time Guzheng's kinda marginalised and counts bars, I really enjoy listening to the harmonies, melodies and varying tone colours of other instruments.
The entire CO experience is just.. Amazing. (:
