First Ever Flying Dream

Last night, I was having some weird post-apocalyptic sci-fi-ish kind of dream. I was walking down this corridor, everything all metallic-looking. At the intersection of a couple of these corridors, I saw my mom. I was surprised to see her and wondered what she was doing there, but then I thought weird things happen in dreams. I occasionally have thoughts like this in dreams, but usually I don't realize the implications of them, and just keep dreaming normally. Sometimes my brain realizes it's been found out, and I'll wake up. But this time I just popped into lucidity: Hey! I'm dreaming! I waited around for a couple seconds to see if I was going to wake up, but I was still standing there in the corridor with my mom. What do I do now? I amazingly enough remembered that I never ever in my life have had a flying dream (at least not one that I remembered afterwords). Some people say they fly in dreams all the time, but not me, and I've always wanted to. So I jumped up and flew around in the intersection, but had trouble staying up. Then I remembered that I was supposed to throw myself at the ground and miss, so I tried it that way. I cruised along close to the ground for a minute, then went higher. It was still hard, and I wondered if I wouldn't do better outside. So I flew outside. It was daytime, grey sky and bright orange leaves on the trees. I zoomed around pretty well, but it was really windy and I kept getting blown off course. It was strange to feel how the wind pushed me. I thought This is my dream, why am I making it so hard on myself? but I couldn't seem to stop the wind. My friend Ben was on the sidewalk, and I tried to wave at him, but the wind pushed me past too fast. There was another person walking up ahead, and I realized that that was Ben, too. That seemed convenient, but also pretty weird. This dream is weird. I woke up.
