New friends...new fun
How ironic that my last entry was about something that really confused/saddened me, and the very next day that all went straight out the window!!!!
Monday, Sept 18
I was online and thought...hmm y'know I've been in Intervarsity's facebook group for a year now, maybe I should see if they have meeting times that'll work for me this year since I couldn't last year. Lo and behold I found out they had a wednesday night one and I'm free wednesday nights. So I messaged the administrator of that facebook group, Cassidy, who told me about the meeting time and I decided I'd come. All of a sudden I was excited about wednesday night.
Tuesday, Sept 19
Life went on as usual. Classes all day.
Wednesday, Sept 20
I went to my first IV meeting and ironically the discussion was about how important small groups are for Christians! lol. Plus, I met some awesome people!!!! At any rate, I loved it, and they invited me to go to the movies to see Cars on Friday night and the EMU home game on saturday! Woohoo!
Thursday, Sept 21
Well, it was thursday and I wanted it to be friday...
Friday, Sept 22
Went to the movies with the gang and had a blast. We all went back to Cass and Jess's apartment and had pizza and talked until like 2:30am.
Saturday, Sept 23
About 12 hours later, went back to Cass and Jess's for the game, 'cept Jess couldn't come because she had to go play with the toys at Toys 'R Us. So we went to the game, and it was awesome, too. It downpoured on us for like 5 minutes in addition to sprinkling for at least half the game. The down pour was cool, too, because we saw it at the other side of the stadium like a wall of rain heading straight for us before it hit us. The Eagles lost, but they put up one heck of a touchdown run in the 4th to make the game go into OT. Afterwards, we all went back to Cass n' Jess's.......AGAIN and watched movies. The Emperor's New Groove and The 13th Warrior were the featured films! Aaaannnd we went home at like 1 in the morning!
Sunday, Sept 24
I went over to Cass's...yet another time, but this time it was just the rendevous point before heading over to Ally and Sarah's place for a couch warming party. Yes that's right, couch warming party. So, we hung out for quite some time, ate some phenomenal food prepared by Ally and Sarah, listened to Jim Gaffigan, and had totally random conversations while Cass and Jess were taking very odd pictures of themselves! ha ha ha. Meet the folks this entire entry has basically been about.
