Watch out for the Momo!

So I was a little bit bored and decided to turn to my favorite form of entertainment which happens to be wikipedia. I looked up "aswang" which is a Filipino mythological creature that feeds on fetuses and children. Well anyhow, look it up for yourself! it's kind of funny. So you know how it links you to other topics pertaining to your search? I noticed that all the Filipino "monsters" preyed primarily on small children particularly at 6pm when it started to get dark. Now did anybody of the kids catch on to this because I'm starting to see a pattern here. Filipino parents will go to great lengths to scare the willies out of their kids so that they can sleep safely at night...by SIX! Oh I'm so amused by this.

We should learn from this lesson that our Filipino ancestors have developed for us. I'm tired of hearing about kids getting shot at night, getting hit by cars by drunk drivers, and going to parties where underage drinking is happening...let's go ahead and scare the shit out of them so we can have them home by curfew!

Anyway, I'll have a couple years to devise a plan for Ollie but right now we're focusing on surviving the "Terrible Twos". Ollie's case of the TT came a wee bit early. She is now 17 months and her favorite word at the moment is "NO!" and a very distinct "uh-uhhhh" for NO. I'm trying to tell all the family to use "please don't do that" instead of using the N-word. But it's difficult to train large family who all have different methods of raising a child. No wonder Ollie is all confused!

I officially survived my first week of being back in school and I have to say that I'm diggin' it. I'm probably only saying that because I got my last paycheck and next month I won't be feeling the same way anymore :( Boo on the economy.

And P.S. I really don't care about the new milk container so please shut up about it!!! San Diego news sucks.
