Times are so bleak right now. With the ominous May 15th lingering over our heads, it's a surprise that some of us still bother to come into work and wear a smile and put up with the stupid kids that are soooo obviously infected with what we call "Spring Fever".  It's reached the point where one of my boys is kicking the girls without knowing why when confronted about it. Middle school is nothing but a social experiment geared toward teaching kids the fundamentals of social interactions. When I walk around, I can't help but cringe when I think back to my awkward middle school years. These poor kids! But it's not a surprise that some of these kids can't even be civil which is where we come in to correct their ways so that they stand somewhat of a chance in highschool...

my point being that being a middle school teacher is no walk in the park and even with the pink slips inevitably coming our way, so many teachers have accepted the horrible fate but still manage to come in everyday and kick major ass. I admire teachers, I really do. Even though I probably won't be teaching in a few years (if not this year) I will always be the parent who sympathizes with the teacher. I love my parents who go out of their way to see how their child is doing and are doing their share to keep them on top of things. I fantasize about the day I meet with Ollie's teacher for the first time! I dream about going in on my days off to help staple papers and cut out construction paper and volunteering at the school functions. The only way to get your kid motivated in school is to take a HUGE role in his/her school life. Many parents compartmentalize education and don't bother stepping in. At least I know I got my children's school covered!

So now I'm registering for Summer Classes in San Diego! I'm uber excited about starting a new chapter in my life. It should be interesting! I am soooo ready to move on and get to the point where we're prepared for more children! Ollie is already so big and I turn green when I see pictures of Gwen Stefani in her cute pregnancy self. My co-workers have been sharing pregnancy stories lately and for some reason I'm the only one without any horror stories. My co-workers all agree that I was the happiest go-luckiest pregnant woman they've ever encountered. Oh man, I miss that! My co-worker even commented on how impressed she was that I still maintained my sense of style even with a big swollen belly! Ack, we're just a bunch of middle aged women wanting to have more babies!

I'm in this wierd funk right now where I want more kids but we're not in that place yet. I can't wait for Ollie to be excited about having siblings and for her to be a big sister just like me. Sisters are the best things ever and I'm glad when I married Greg, I inherited like 3 more! By the way, I'm convinced we're having 3 girls...I just want Ollie to have that...soon! But first I gotta get school done!!! Blegh.
