New Experiences
I'm sorry everyone....i didn't realize it had been over two weeks since I last updated! So much has happened in two weeks. Let's see. New experiences are as follows: watched "Saw"(an experience I could've lived without)....rode with a friend who got tested for alcohol, even though he's never had a drop in his life...dressed up like a gypsy for Halloween (hence, my new pic)...told a guy how I felt about him(I didn't have another option)...drank syrup shots at IHOP(a lot grosser than they sound)...sat in the upper deck at a football game...went to a UofA volleyball game...witnessed the Pinky Scout(I'm really excited about that one)...watched "The Goonies"(yes for the very first time)...registered for next semester and actually got to pick out my classes...and last but certainly not least, I played Halo for the very first time. I sucked at it, of course, but I played. So it's been a fun few weeks. I mean sure, there's been some drama. And admittedly, a lot of it was my fault and I feel really bad about that. God has been teaching me a lot lately about myself. For example, I've realized that when I like a guy, I tend to have the "I-saw-him-first" mentality that's actually really selfish and not fair. I've come to find out that other girls see this as a claim on him and they don't like whoever because they think I like him. And that's not fair to anyone. Liking someone doesn't give me a right to them. And I know that...I just need to convey it better. Also, honesty is a good thing, but so is guarding your heart. And I've done a pretty cruddy job of guarding my heart lately. I mean, I'm glad this guy knows me pretty deeply, but I should've been more careful. I'm also learning the value of really good friends. The kind of friends that stick with you even during the poopy stuff. And I think I've found that. Thank You, God for friends that I don't deserve. In other news, I'm taking ballroom dancing this semester and that's really fun. I'm going to post some pictures from the Halloween party I went to on Saturday night. Here ya go! Enjoy!
