The Etched City....
Because I love this book so much I will share bits and pieces of it with the rest of you.
"That night the Rev suffered a nightmare in which a woman of surpassing loveliness dismembered herself in front of his eyes. She explained to him that she sought the location of the distemper that had caused suffering to be a fundamental principle of her own existance and the universe's, but the search was proving to be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
