She did a really good job. I didn't even notice the nest in the planter by the front door until it was completely finished. Then when I peeked inside, the four little eggs were already there.
The next time I checked the nest, the Carolina wren was inside, sitting on her eggs. I decided to call her Birdie Mae.

BTW,in case you didn't know it, you can snip off jade plant tips and stick them into the pot dirt and they will root; then trim down the leggy bare stem and it will send out new leaves, making a more compact plant. I usually dip the stem ends into some rooting hormone before sticking them into the dirt, but I don't think you have to. A Peperomia I have roots the same way. Rooting hormone comes in a little jar at Home Depot/Lowe's, etc. --VA pal
