its kind of like our running joke, but its really not funny
so this is what it's like being 49...
i've been spending some quality time with the rents this weekend. its been pretty nice. early to bed, early to rise. we went to a matinee today. saw sideways which i really enjoyed (also a movie about middle aged folk). what can i say? i'm in my 40's.
so this weekend hasn't been what i expected it to be, but i wouldn't call it a loss. i expected to be spending it with kyle, but he didn't come home. i was real cranky and disappointed at first, but oh well. there will be much opportunity to hang out with that boy during different weekends.
yesterday a miraculous thing happened. i got to leave work a full half hour early because all of the parents came and picked up their children. it was wonderful. came home and ate fish with my parents, then i went to marie's. something about being at the keeler's is so nice. we watched school of rock and i went home and slept.
today was neat because...
+ i woke up early and ate smart start which was fabulous
+ i went to salvation army and got hot boots, a shirt, a vest, and lots of jewelry. it was amazing- i spent an hour there
+ i went for a run and it made me feel great
+ i heard tori amos's new single on the radio and it was amazing
+ i saw sideways which i highly recommend if you're into films in which nothing really happens. you know what i mean?
+ i ate bettano's pizza and ben & jerry's... a wonderful dinner
i have to work tomorrow, but in the morning we might go to sue wilson's to meet her kitty because she's looking for a home for it and we're looking for a kitty. i think we're going to take it. i'm so excited to have a cat again.
oh, i got accepted to URI this week which is exciting because now i don't have to stress out about college. if anything gets fucked up, i know i'm in there. *big sigh of relief*
on the agenda for next weekend is a weekend at camp with 4 middle aged folks. they're wonderful though so that's fine. probably lots of cross country skiing and drinking with my parents which is just fine.
only one more week of school and work until i'm on vacation... *i think i can*
