One of the ?joys? of the modern office is this concept of the "cubicle". Instead of nice solid doors and walls around me, I am surrounded by thin 65' tall partitions which do absolutely nothing to block out ringing telephones, speakerphones, or loud conversations around the corner. Meanwhile, I'm working on writing a document which requires a fair amount of concentration - concentration which is well-nigh impossible in a noisy environment.
I've ordered some noise-blocking earphones in a desperate attempt to cope - I can't wait until they get here!
