auroraloo No. 31: "Runrig - Meadhan Oidhche Air An Acairseid"
Now here's a story to tell: we had booked a venue for Runrig which was perfect, but the guy responsible for it was absolutely chaotic. With - everything. We all loved him dearly, and the place was great, but that specific Runrig seemed to end before it all began: all the lights went out, every powerline was dead two hours before the gig. Why? Dear N. had forgotten to pay the electricity bill. How can you forget to pay the electricity bill for a concert venue? I don't know, but he managed. And while our technical manager hopped on his bike and tried to find some person in charge at the electrictiy provider, we had to break the news to the band that there wouldn't be a concert because no electricity. Runrig? Just shrugged and said: no problem, then we'll play unplugged.
And they did! Without a fuzz and by the light of candles and electric torches! After a couple of songs, the electricity was switched on again (courtesy couple of free tickets for "Swanlake", I suppose), but nothing could have been as magic as those first few songs. Bless that band, I'll love them forever.

So many would like to be cool dawgs, but he really is. Sean Paul, keeping Molly joyful, dancing and singing along since 1745!

The world's such a poorer place without you, Pete. We still miss you like crazy, big man... this is one of my favourite TON songs; like so much of Pete's work, it touches a nerve, and it hurts, but in a good way: sometimes pain will remind you that you're still alive.
