If that's a ticket for Richard II., you are herewith kindly requested to hand it over, Mr. Garrow.
The guy sitting in the boxoffice at the Donmar Warehouse gave me that "you must be joking" look reserved for dense tourists when I asked if there was any chance of getting two tickets for Richard II. No, all sold out. Maybe returns, then again, maybe not.
My friend explained to me that there's such a buzz about the play because of Eddie Redmayne, the "Gods gifts to mankind and as attractive to women- and menfolk as honey is to bees, and OMG, he's a redhead and who is Andrew Buchan?"
Look, I'm very picky when it comes to my redheads (with all due respect, Mr. Redmayne does not qualify), I'm not a bee and I want to see Andrew Buchan, dammit!
So: dear friends, if any of you should have tickets and can't attend, or if you know somebody who has two tickets for January or February and wants to get rid of them, PLEASE let me know.
I'd be one very happy Molly, and I'd stop using the Italics of Miffedness. Cheers!
