I think I read somewhere that the actors picked the first names for their characters. So we could blame it all on Mr. O'Hare, should we not like the choice. ;P No big deal in any case, after all, what's in a name? He whom we call Andrew or Thomas, by any other name would be just as snarky...

(Still too many beards in this film, mind you.)

OK, exceptions can be made for Messrs O'Hare and Davenport. But absolutely no beards for D'Arcy and Buchan! :-D

The Lieutenant With No Name sounds like an awesome title to me, as does The Spainard With No Name. Perhaps that means those two will actually make it to PotC5 alive.

Lol - is it terrible of me that I'm already plotting slash between Gillette and the Spanish Officer? The candlelight in the film photo seems to turn his blue eyes an alluring shade of green...
