ok so ...i havn't be alive for a long time...but yea anyway...i got this pretty rainbow book journal thing for christmas, and i've actually been carrying it around and making myself write things down so i can remember them...thought i'd share...
a litle rainbow book diddy:
the world today confuses me, I dont really know what to think. With all the different things being thrown in my face, the swirling colors and dark words, and blue sevens...how am i supposed to see? ...See above all the garbage left to rot in our brains, sewed at us by our "fearless leaders" and radio, and magazines, and T.V. It's hard to exercise our freedom of choice when it's about such debatable matters; and when one side of this political spectrum weasles out more air time then the other...
And sometimes it really drives me insane, when i think of all the inhumanities and suffering, sheer trickery and lost lives-and how it is my country's name that is to blame. Not me, my country, where everyone is an individual. Or, that is what's supposed to be. What happened to the melting pot? to acceptance and tolerance, streets paved with gold, and love...around where i've been the closests i've seen to gold paved streets is the yellow urine of a homeless man trickling past my feet. and it makes me wonder, why is no one going to help him-TRY to help him....please...
we have a great gift of freedom here. a freedom to have revolutions and stand up against the government to voice our opinions without directy being shot down. as bad as it may seem somtimes, as unfair and discusting the treatment of our own people may seem, it is so much more then others have.
i thought the other day, how is it that we can live in a country where the KKK can hold meetings and torture people because we are afraid to loose our right to congregate, but two people who are in love with each othe cannot get married, just because it's not a man and a women...i dont see what difference it makes when it comes to love. a woman loves a woman, a man loves a man, a man loves a woman, a black person loves a white person, people just love EACH OTHER...and who is it to deny them the legal/standard showing of their love through marriage?
we have an amazing gift of certain freedoms, and education, and life-we really need to take advantage of it and pull from it all it's worth.
----i'm done, there is a few minutes in the head of alea-enjoy.
