Perfect Storm
It's a scary night here in Atlanta, but not half so scary as in Birmingham. When I was growing up, my only referent for tornadoes was from "The Wizard of Oz," and everyone knows that when Dorothy got blown over the rainbow, she wasn't in Kansas anymore. *Kansas*. Only Kansas has tornadoes, everyone knows that. They stop at the state line. They certainly don't come roaring down here to the South, flattening half of Alabama and a good lot of northwestern GA. WTF, tornadoes?
It does look like the worst of the mess will *just* miss us, swinging to the north and west before we get anything more than a lot of wind, rain, and thunder. But, damn.
